About Johnson Philip

Growing up, Johnson always had a passion for music. Whether in the church choir, piano lessons, or even keeping up with the latest vibes on the music scene, Johnson has always enjoyed and loved being around "good" music. And it shows in his performances, the professionalism and attention to detail that lines up with what he labels "good music".

Johnson grew up in the Silver Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba and was quickly entrenched in "good" music. Many wonderful musicians and singers have come from the Silver Heights SDA Church over the years, so it made sense for yet another great performer to arise. At a young age, Johnson began to put his own spin on things when playing the piano during divine service, but everyone really saw his creative side when performing during Vespers, AY, and musical concerts. His performances, many deemed as "unique and exciting", however, he never lost his understanding of what it means to be a servant of God.

Johnson is a master of many things. He spent time teaching overseas in Korea, was a Music Director, Youth Leader and Basketball Coach, among other things. But his passion for music stood out among the rest, which is apparent any time he takes the stage.
